Today I found joy in planning a trip to Chicago. What a great city! Had I not attended seminary there I might never have known all that Chicago has to offer and I wouldn't have met the amazing people who live, work, and play there. No doubt I'll find some joy in the Windy City this summer.
Where did you find joy today?

As a transplanted Chicago native I would strongly suggest a visit to the Signature Bar. I don't drink - drinking is not the point here - the point is that the bar is on the 96th floor of the John Hancock. Here is a link to a good article about it http://www.epicportions.com/2009/09/10/signature-lounge-john-hancock-building-chicago-il/
ReplyDeleteMy tip: best view is from the bathroom window (at least it was 7 years ago) and check out how you can see the sway of the highrise by looking at the toilet water gently slushing - errie. Plus, the express elevator ride is stomach-dropping fun.
@ anonymous - I've been in the John Hancock building, but never in Signature Bar. Thanks for the tip!
