- Ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister, and after serving a San Diego congregation for the past three years, I am currently preparing to enter the search process for a congregation closer to my family on the east coast. Walking alongside me on this journey is my husband, Mitchell, teenage son, Adam, and a fluffy pup named Lucy. And then there are my grown children and other family members who bring me joy from afar! The reflections and occasional kvetching on this blog are completely and totally my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of my colleagues, my family, or even the fluffy pup!

Our son Ernesto is learning to play the guitar (and getting lessons from Deena Tuttle's hugely talented son, Joel). He's been strumming out "Blackbird" -- the Beatles classic -- lately, and I just love it. :-)

ReplyDeleteI love "Blackbird"! There is something about watching your child, whatever the age, making music that does wonders for your heart and soul. Music is a gift for receivers and givers both.
